IST University Computing Systems

The UCS website has been migrated to the Information Services & Technology website (ist.njit.edu).  The UCS content has been incorporated into various sections of the IST website.

While users are still familiarizing themselves with the new website, IST will make the old website available.  However, when you click on any links on the old website, you will be redirected to the IST website.  If you have a questions please contact the IST Computing Helpdesk at 973 -596-2900.

UCS manages the NJIT AFS (Andrew File System) distributed file system, various research labs, database servers, many Web and computational servers, other specialized servers, public-access labs, and the computational resources of the Dept. of Mathematical Sciences and College of Computing Sciences.

Any NJIT student or member of the faculty or staff can apply for an AFS account.

Current supported operating systems :

• Sun: Solaris (Sparc and X86)
• Intel, AMD CPUs: RedHat Linux, Fedora Core
